Let’s Get Started
Critique Services
Some writers say they edit their work by reading it backwards, from the last sentence to the first. Other writers sweat the first paragraph until it drops a font size. There are writers who claim the first three pages of any submission are the most important and others who only want to reveal the title of the piece in the last line. I once had a spirited email exchange with a writer who insisted the past tense of lie was not lay. Alliteration? Yes. No!
Over the course of my career, I have read, critiqued, and edited thousands of manuscripts. As a writer myself, I know how difficult it can be to ‘see’ our work the way a reader will see it.
The Editing Option offers writers the choice of receiving line-edits, marginal comments, and macro-level feedback as well as comprehensive proofreading on projects big and small. Don’t lose sleep over whether to launch the Oxford comma. I have twenty years’ experience as a Grammar Geek. Let me do it for you.
